My son is almost 2, and he loves this turtle. He will watch the stars on the ceiling and fall asleep. It is a great way to get him to fall asleep at grandma's house. Wish I had purchased this sooner. Great baby shower gift idea!

This is great! The whole room lights up with stars for your little one. After 45 minutes it turns off by itself so you don't have your battery wasted all night. This is a must have for any child.

My three year old loves her lady bug, it keeps her company as she falls asleep. The stars don't really look like stars where the light hits the ceiling, there are no recognizable constellations and I don't bother setting it up on something to elevate it. The batteries last forever, it shuts off automatically after so much time and, most importantly, it makes my little girl happy. The lady bug casts a crescent moon shape among the stars. I have 3 grandchildren and 4 years ago I bought the turtle and my 4 yr old grandson still uses it!!!! Now I have 2 more grandsons, so I purchased the Ladybug and Sea Turtle!! Both of these are awesome. If I had to choose the Ladybug would be both mine and my grandsons' favorite!! It is bright and the stars and moon are show up so clearly!! I purchased this for my son who has a room with an outdoor theme. He spent have the day in closet, and now that its night time he has it in his room. It is really cool. You do have to have it kind of in the center of the room for best results, but he just lays with it on the bed. Its great, I am getting the ladybug for my daughter as I am sure they will fight over this one as she gets older.
