Flood of the Century?

We were caught in a flood at Smithtown this weekend. It was the third highest flood in 101 years, with the biggest being the floods of 1901 and 1955. This far surpassed the water level of January 1996.
Day 1 of the flood, 1/2 way there...

Day 2, The water reaches the deck.

Check out this New York Times article on the flood. The New York Times > New York Region > Thousands Evacuated as Delaware River Floods: "In many communities along the river, the Delaware was watched more in awe than in fear. With Sunday's mild temperatures and brilliant sunshine, families walked to watch ducks and geese paddling down flooded streets or marvel at the rushing river, which carried fallen trees, barrels and overturned boats."
