NPR : Last American Audio Tape Maker Closes: "Employees of the audiotape manufacturer Quantegy in Opelika, Ala., started the new year looking for work. The company shut down without notice, surprising everyone in town."
NASA and Music Producers are trying to buy Analog tape in bulk before it goes under. Nasa will have to re-engineer a lot of systems if the were to get rid of Analog tape.
